We have been carefully considering the move to one site for some time and we feel that this is the right time to merge our practices onto one site and combine our efforts to create more opportunity for developing services and improving patient care in these challenging times. We have a shared belief in making a continued positive difference to our patients. As the pressure increases on General Practice, we believe the best way to continue to offer our patients a high quality, person centered and sustainable service into the future is to merge our practices on one site. By joining the two Practices and sharing resources, we will be able to deliver the following:
This means that two separate GP practices, the East One Health Centre and the Whitechapel Health Centre will be become one single practice and run under one single contract.
Patients will continue to have the same services you currently receive at both East One Health and Whitechapel Health centres including the following:
Yes you will continue to have access to your practices at its current location until they formally relocate to the brand new site.
No, you will not be required to re-register with the practice as a result of the future relocation. You will continue to access and receive healthcare services as you normally do, albeit from a different location. You will not be de-registered from the practice as a result of the premises relocation.
The same GP services will be provided to patients following the move. We hope to further improve your experience at the new premises.
The planned move for the relocation to the new site is September 2021, we will contact you again closer to the time.
Medical records are stored securely, electronically in the practice database system which will be relocated to the new premises. Most practices also have paper medical records for each patient; these will be digitalised and saved to your electronic medical records before the practice relocates. This will ensure that we have all your medical history on our secured database system

In October 2020 our GP members voted in favour of merging our seven CCGs into one new NEL CCG in April 2021 and we were also designated as an Integrated Care System (ICS) in December 2020.
NHS NEL CCG is a developing statutory body responsible for planning, putting in place and monitoring health services for North East London residents. They commission services like hospitals, community health, mental health, general practice (GP) and some pharmacy services. Their website is: www.northeastlondonccg.nhs.uk

The building has automatic front doors and wider corridors to support patients with mobility Issues.
It is purpose built site to support patient’s needs.
The Practice will continue to provide high quality services that we currently provide and look to continually improve on these in the new building. We will look at more bespoke services and with the bigger building we plan to try and build and develop on the services we have. We have specific lead areas like Women’s Health, Mental Health and Cancer and work collaboratively with other clinicians.
All staff will be moving to the new building.
The opening hours will remain the same.
We will write out to you closer to September when we have the confirmed move date
There will be at least 2 allocated spaces for right outside the practice. There are a further 2 bays that will be slightly further away. Around the estate there are a further 8 disabled bays.
The building is a purpose built accessible site all on one level to accommodate all mobility needs. The building has automatic front doors and wider corridors to support all wheelchair users.
All staff will be moving to the new building so you will be able to see the same staff as you have always.

The number of appointments available will be the combined capacity of the two existing practices. These available appointments will be continually monitored.

The practice are signed up to providing extended hours and this will continue at Goodman’s Fields Health Centre.
The practice plan to recruit new clinical staff and as Goodman’s Field Health Centre has more clinical rooms this will make it easier. The current issue with the existing premises has been space which has made it difficult to increase staff numbers.
