Measles can spread to other people easily.

Patients who have an appointment to come into the practice should not attend if they have:

  • a fever and a rash; with
  • cold symptoms;
  • or a cough;
  • or red, sore eyes (conjunctivitis)

Hay Fever Advice

There has been a change in guidelines across the country. The NHS is asking patients to buy hay fever medication directly from the pharmacy.

Tablets, eye drops and nasal sprays are all available at your local pharmacy.

Due to higher levels of pollen count between late March and September, when it is warm, humid and windy, hay fever is usually worse.

If you have hay fever symptoms speak to your local pharmacist. They can offer you advice and suggest the best treatments.

Symptoms of hay fever include:

sneezing
Sneezing and coughing
runny
A runny or blocked nose
itchy
Itchy, red or watery eyes
throat
Itchy throat, mouth, nose and ears
loss of smell
Loss of smell
pain around your temples
Pain around your temples and forehead
headache earaches
Headache earache
feeling tired
Feeling tired

If you have asthma, you might also:

have a tight
Have a tight feeling in your chest
be short of breath
Be short of breath
wheeze and cough
Wheeze and cough
